Nothing too crazy here. Just trying to keep the chops up, and keep this blog from being completely dormant. Just doodling around in photoshop, used a photo ref. I should do more quick paintings like this. It was pretty fun. Well...here's the first of hopefully many more to come. Until we meet again.

Life Drawing 7-17

Here's a few of the long poses from this weeks session. Going in with a Pentel hybrid and a waterbrush. No Pencils..A few people asked me about he waterbrush I had. I feel bad for not knowing exactly what kind it was. Just got it at an art supply store. I love that thing though, you can take it anywhere!! There's probably a better quality one out there somewhere but I love these. Next time I'm at the art store I'll see what the brand was.

life drawing

Hi there...I've been doing life drawing pretty consistently for a while now. Here's a few from last weeks sessions. The first ones are all under 5min some 2minute ones. Last few were 20 minutes. I had a chance to do some experimenting in these sessions so that's been really interesting. I'll definitely upload some drawing from previous sessions. there are soooo many. Any who recently I've been diving straight into my drawing with pen and ink. I'm really learning a lot about the way I draw by doing this. I think alot of time has been wasted on erasing and trying to get a line or mark down. When I am forced to commit and make it good the first time, there is way more energy in it. And I've definitely been surprised at the type of lines i've been getting with no hesitation or erasing.

P.S. Claire Wendling rocks my socks...literally just discovered her work today and I absolutely love it.

Started of a little sketch and took it further. I'm really bad at updating soo I decided to put this up. I'm going to try and post more often, even though I say that all the time. I got a good chance at it now since the new year is here. Stay tuned for more stuffz. Later
