New Illo!!

This is an illustration I finished for a contest. The topic was anything about emotions. I modeled the drawing after a playing card. The title I gave it was "Sometimes she's up, Sometimes she's down." Yeh I know, title's kind of long but wutever. I can't wait to get it printed because there's no top or bottom. I've been looking at those Moo cards you can get. I think I'm gonna get a set of these as self promo postcards. Kind of excited but we'll see tho. Right now I'm workin on an illustration about a bullfighter, should be fun! I should post more of my sketches here since it is a sketch blog.

Heeey!!!

HEY! I was watching some old James Brown clips...and I mean old! Around the 60s and early 70s, but mostly 60s. The videos I watched were mostly on youtube. The lighting on the videos are soooo dramatic! They were shot in black and white so there's loads of contrast. JB was some performer...hehe some the tunes were pretty jammin too, a few i knew and some i didn't. Here's a quick sketch and the final, inked digitally.

Pinnochio sketch

I may make a print of this...it started off as a sketch, I just took it a little further. Maybe i'll go back and illustrate this whole story, not sure yet. This topic is sort of interesting to me. Pinnochio's journey to achieve his goal of being a real boy. He had hope man...that's dope. This has me thinking about other stories I've heard as a child. I think I should revisit some of those basic stories and do some stuff off of those. Hey they had to be pretty good to have been around this loong. Wutev's we'll see wut happens. OUT!

BOMB Shelter

Here's a Tshirt design I did for Infinity, an independent indoor percussion group. I was a part of a similar group formed by the same founders. Fun times...glad I could contribute. Check out their website Infinitypercussion.com
